Fairfield outshines others with its provision of careers
We have previously shared how proud we are that we are achieving 100% across ALL 8 Gatsby Benchmarks; these Benchmarks are a framework of guidelines that define the best careers provision in secondary schools and represent:
· A stable careers programme
· Learning from career and labour market information
· Addressing the needs of each pupil
· Linking curriculum learning to careers
· Encounters with employers and employees
· Experiences of workplaces
· Encounters with further and higher education
We were even more proud recently to receive a letter of congratulations from The Careers and Enterprise Company and The West of England Combined Authority, with a graph showing us streets ahead of others in the region (in comparison the West of England average):
A big well done to our Careers Lead Kelly Thomas, who works tirelessly to maintain these benchmarks and who continues to champion Careers Education, Information and Guidance (CEIAG) within our school.
