Year 8 students take part in annual Fun Maths Roadshow

Fairfield Maths department hosted the annual Fun Maths Roadshow in Term 4 for some of our Year 8 students. As part of this, we welcomed guests from the University of the West of England and the Advanced Maths Support Programme (AMSP) who ran the roadshow.

The Fun Maths Roadshow is a carousel of interactive mathematical puzzles in which our yYar 8 students worked in teams. It introduced a broad range of interesting applications from climate change to forensics and helped boost our students’ problem solving skills, ideas exploration, creative thinking, team working skills, and analysis of their results.

Our students had a great time during the roadshow and have been busy showing off their problem solving skills in class!
