Unknown Soldier Dance Workshop
Last term, following on from Black History month, the Dance Department was very excited to offer a professional dance workshop with dancer and choreographer Theo Alade, who was working with the Alison Ray Dance Company. The workshop was based on the lindy hop style of dance featured in the dance piece The Unknown Soldier which explores the personal stories of the brave men and women of Black British heritage and the part they played in Britain’s successful war effort. Over 20 students from Years 8 and 9 took part in the challenging and fast paced workshop.
