Student Voice – Jai gives a lowdown on the trip to Barcelona
A big thank you to Jai for giving the lowdown on the trip to Barcelona
We left for the airport after lunch and once everyone had gone through security went to get on our plane. When we landed it was dark outside already, so we got straight on our coach and checked in at our hostel.
Over the next few days, we used the Metro to travel around Barcelona quickly so that we could see as much as possible in the time we had. We went to La Boqueria market (which was my favourite place because of all the food), Sagrada Familia, Camp Nou, the Picasso Museum, Parc Guell, Barcelona Port, and a tapas restaurant. Luckily, it was sunny pretty much the whole time so we got to enjoy all of these places in the heat.
On the way back we were sad to leave, but happy to have been able to enjoy our time there. It was a bit of a bumpy flight due to the rain (of course) in England but we all got back safe in the end.
For me, it was an eye-opening dive into a culture that I had never experienced before and what it had to offer. Thanks to all the teachers for making the trip so streamlined and enjoyable for us all. 🙂
