History Department on the national stage!

Our History department recently presented to the national Historical Association Conference, explaining how we had planned and taught a unit on the history of the holy land for Year 9. We focused on the ways that we had worked collaboratively with students in our planning, and how we had sought to refine our language so all students felt comfortable in the room.

The talk was very well received, and we have consequently been asked to speak at several other events.

What mattered most to us was how our students felt about the unit. This quote in student feedback was one that made us proud of our work:
