GCSE Drama students take part in largest UK youth theatre festival
The Year 10 GCSE drama students participated in the largest UK youth theatre festival this term culminating in an exhilarating performance at The Tobacco Factory theatre in Southville. The class worked on the play The Tempest which was directed by Miss Ayre and performed in front of a packed-out audience alongside other schools in a professional theatre. It was an incredible experience for the students, building both aspirations and confidence alongside the unique opportunity to experience performing in a professional space.
The festival is run by the Shakespeare Schools Foundation who are a cultural education charity that exists to instill curiosity and empathy, aspiration and self-esteem, literacy and teamwork – giving young people the confidence to see that all the world is their stage.
Well done to all involved.
