Fairfield Rounders success!
Congratulations to our rounders teams for doing so brilliantly whilst competing against Bristol schools:
We entered teams in for Year 7, 8, 9 and 10. All teams except Year 9 advanced through to the next round, with Year 7s coming first in their league. The Year 7s & 8s advanced on to play Bristol Free School, where the Year 7s only missed out on the next round by one rounder. The Year 8s won with a four rounder difference. Year 10s lost out to Oasis Brightstowe.
This was a great result considering the teams have only been training since Easter for this (with some teams having previous years’ experience). The Year 9s only narrowly missed out on qualification, coming 3rd in their group.
We are proud of all of our teams and look forward to seeing what next year brings.
