Fairfield praised for its hard work/results in Religious Studies
We were very proud to receive this letter from Bristol SACRE, whose role is to advise the local authority on religious education and collective worship, congratulating us on our hard work in Religious Studies:
As a SACRE we would like to congratulate you for all your hard work in Religious Studies. We note that you offer a full cohort for GCSE RE. It is brilliant to see this commitment to the subject – also noted in your Ofsted report this year. We also noted that in 2022, your examination results for last year were higher than the national average. Congratulations on this achievement!
Looking at your website, I can see that you offer a broad and deep Religious Studies curriculum – according to the curriculum map you have published. I can see that you are continually working on the curriculum to improve it, so it creates depth and progression for all students.
I know – from personal experience – the commitment your teachers have for all their students – and to ensure the subject remains relevant and impactful.
Many thanks for all your support for RE – your teachers are always welcome at the termly Bristol RE Hubs for both Primary and Secondary teachers: a great way to network with other teachers! Please contact me for more information.
I hope the examinations went well this year and wish you all the best!
Well done to our hardworking Humanities team and students who have made this happen.
