Students ‘Raise the Bar’ at UWE event

For the second year running, Year 11 students attended a ‘Raise the Bar’ University of West of England (UWE) event in Filton; the aim of the day workshop was to raise the aspirations of students who are very capable of attending university. 

There was a range of activities including cooking, financial talks, health and well-being conversations and signposting, mentorship opportunities and cooking but to name a few. 

 The event was a popular one, with 140 young people attending overall. 

What made this day even more special was that FHS alumni were there who eloquently talked to, and guided students.
