Budding young scientists build electromagnets
Some of our Year 8 students were tasked in these hard times to think outside of the box, by embarking on a project to make electromagnets. Although Mr Hickey did his best to demonstrate electromagnetism over video, there is nothing more worthwhile than hands on experience that they ordinarily would have received. Mr Lewis also gave a very helping hand with one of the demonstrations!
As always, Team Fairfield did themselves proud – a special shout out to Corey in 8M for taking Mr Hickey’s advice by managing to create his very own home made electromagnet. Well done Corey! A budding Scientist/Engineer/Inventor……the list goes on!
