Robotics Challenge Competition 2023

In Term 5 Fairfield’s Robotics Club took their robots down to Exeter Technology College to compete in the South West Regions Robotics Challenge Competition. The team competed against 6 other schools from the region in a series of different challenges in a bid to make it to the Grand Final.

The team have been working hard all year to design, build and programme their robot using Lego Mindstorm kit and software to carry out different tasks testing their teamwork and problem-solving skills along the way.

Along with competing in the different challenges, the team had to present and discuss their robot design with the judges and also tackle an unknown teamwork challenge all of which they took in their stride and completed fantastically well!

The team fought valiantly throughout the competition but despite this were unfortunately not able to progress to the Grand Final this year. The Team did however pick up an award for Best Robot Design – well done Fairfield’s Robotics Club!
