Reminder: Taking children out of school during term time
As we look forward to warmer and drier weather, the idea of holidays may come to mind.
We’d like to remind all of our families that you must get permission from the school if you want to take your child out of school during term time.
You can only do this if:
- you make an application to the school in advance (as a parent the child normally lives with)
- there are exceptional circumstances
You can be fined for taking your child on holiday during term time without the school’s permission
We will consider each request on a case-by-case basis, but the reason for the request must be deemed an exceptional circumstance by the school.
Please find below a link to our ‘request for leave of absence from school during term time’ forms.
