OTR workshops over the summer to benefit struggles with stress, anxiety, low mood or depression
OTR Bristol (a mental health social movement by and for young people) we will soon be delivering Mind Aid, a well established digital workshop designed to benefit Young People struggling with difficult feelings related to stress, anxiety, low mood or depression.
Mind Aid is delivered to two different age groups, 11-14 and 15-17. The first Mind Aid group starts within the next three weeks and there are spaces available in all the three groups below:
MIND AID 11-14
· 8th of July to 12th of August
· Mondays 4:30pm – 5:45pm, Online for 6 weeks
· This is for young people aged 11-14
MIND AID 15-17
· 23rd July to 27th of August for 6 weeks
· Tuesdays, Time TBC, Online for 6 weeks
· This is for young people aged 15-17 and 11 months
MIND AID 11-14
· 8th of August to 12th of September for 6 weeks
· Thursdays 4:30pm – 5:45 pm, Online for 6 weeks
· This is for young people aged 11-14
The workshop will be helpful for young people to connect with others and learn ways to look after their mental health. Aimed at 11 to 17 years-old, it will consist of 1hr and 15 min sessions on a digital platform, once a week for six weeks:
1. Young people will access the weekly workshops via ZOOM and will have the opportunity to participate via interactive activities and online tools such as quizzes, discussions and videos.
2. Using cameras and/or mics will be optional. There will be a go-round at the beginning of each session where they will be encouraged to say “hi” to the group with their camera and/or mic on.
3. Once signed up, the facilitators will get in touch so that young people will know what to expect and will have the opportunity to ask any questions before the first session!
