Network Rail: Bridge replacement affects journeys
Bridge replacement affects journeys
Sunday 25 October – Friday 6 November
This autumn, Network Rail is working on behalf of South Gloucestershire Council to replace a railway bridge near Patchway station in Bristol, to help improve public transport in that area.
This means that there will be changes to train journeys between England and South Wales during this period. If you do need to travel, please allow extra time, plan your route and check online before setting off.
What it means for your journey:
- Bristol Parkway – Newport: Coaches replace trains
- London – South Wales: Trains divert after Swindon via Gloucester (not calling at Bristol Parkway)
- Cardiff Central – Portsmouth Harbour/Taunton: Services also affected
Check before you travel: nationalrail.co.uk or GWR.com/bristol
