Celebrating National Careers Week at FHS
Choosing a direction in life can be one of the most challenging and confounding things we can do at any age. The landscape of education, training, and employment opportunities that students need to steer through is now more complex due the pandemic. We are therefore delighted to give our full support to National Careers Week in a number of ways.
Activities
During LIVE lessons throughout this week, staff shared their own Careers Pathway – detailing what subjects they studied at school/college/sixth form; highlighting previous jobs they have held to the job they hold currently and identifying an important skill they feel they needed to have to be successful in this/that job.

Students can also find on their Year Groups Teams page these activities, amongst others:
- LIVE broadcast from a range of employers, with an opportunity to ask Q&As (schedule of broadcasts can be found on the TEAMS page)
- Virtual National Careers Fair with over 80 providers. See the following link with further information below: https://ncw2021.co.uk/
