Mini Languages Festival 2025 at the University of Bristol

The University of Bristol recently hosted its Mini Languages Festival 2025, welcoming 10 of our Year 8 students for a fun and inspiring day all about languages and linguistics.

During the event, students took part in a range of exciting activities, including Language Lectures, a Linguistics Taster Lecture, a Campus Tour, and an Introduction to Studying Languages at University.

The Language lectures gave students a chance to explore different languages and cultures, while the Linguistics session introduced them to the study of how language works. The talk on studying languages at university helped students understand what it’s like to study languages at degree level and what career options are available.

The Campus Tour allowed our students to see the university’s facilities and get a feel for student life at Bristol.

The festival was a great opportunity for students to learn more about languages and imagine their future as university students.
