Message from Excalibur: Change of Chair of Trustees

Toby Watson has stepped down from his role as Chair of Trustees for Excalibur Academies Trust to focus on business commitments. He served in the role for nearly eight years, and we are extremely grateful for his dedication and leadership, including guiding the Trust through its merger and helping to establish our strong and sustainable multi-academy trust.

We are pleased to announce that Susan Clarke (pictured below) has been elected as our new Chair of Trustees. A founding member of Excalibur and former Vice Chair, she brings significant experience in leading complex public sector organisations. Susan’s focus as Chair will be to ensure the best possible education for all children, with diversity, inclusivity and fairness at the heart of the Trust’s work.

 We look forward to the continued strong governance of the Trust as we enter another inspirational year of learning.
