Languages Week: Culture, Communication & Global Futures
Languages Week was a vibrant celebration of culture, communication and global opportunities across the school. We were delighted to welcome Bristol University, who delivered inspiring workshops to our Year 9 and Year 11 students, showing how studying languages can open doors to a wide range of careers and future pathways.
Throughout the week, students enjoyed a variety of engaging lunchtime activities, including an Italian language taster with Mr Matias, an Asterix & Obelix film screening with Mrs Davies-Brenchley, and a Japanese language session led by Miss Warburg and Ally Baldwyn.
Thursday brought even more cultural experiences with a Polish language taster with Mr Jankowski, alongside a Henna activity and Arabic music session with Miss Picher.
Students also took part in an online language and culture quiz. Languages Week proved a fantastic opportunity for students to explore new cultures, develop curiosity, and see how languages connect to real-world futures.
