Happy Year of the Rabbit as Fairfield celebrates Lunar New Year

Happy Year of the Rabbit! Staff and students gathered to celebrate Lunar New Year with well-attended events in late January.  

Hot and cold Asian food were served while students enjoyed watching traditional lion dance competitions and listening to celebration songs. Some students had a go at making paper dragons and lanterns to decorate the Chinese New Year area of the library which gives students inspiring reading on crafts, traditions and information about the New Year.

Students in all year groups also enjoyed an assembly with their tutor groups to learn more about this important festival. We were also pleased to see many families at the Wai Yee Hon supermarket as the celebrations continued.
