Girls in Maths trip

The Maths department recently took ten Year 8 girls to the University of the West of England for an exciting maths enrichment event. During the day, the students participated in a range of engaging activities, including a storm-chasing workshop, designed to showcase the real-world applications of mathematics in dynamic and unexpected ways.

Zoe, one of the students who attended, shared her experience:

“We went on a maths trip to UWE and learnt about possible careers and how A-level maths can be very useful. It was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed both the lectures and the activities.”
