Fairfield’s Black History Month celebrations
Fairfield has had a busy few week celebrating Black History Month (BHM) including a week of assemblies from the organisation Babbasa, helping to collectively shine a light on the diversity of our students (see below), a safe space created during lunch times for students to discuss how they are feeling and to share any ideas they have for future BHM’s and/or ideas to embed into the curriculum. There was also a creative writing workshop with author Moses McKenzie whose first novel An Olive Grove in Ends has been highly received.
