Fairfield celebrates Chinese New Year
Many thanks to the hard work and effort put in by our EAL Team (together with our EAL Ambassadors) to organise our Chinese New Year Celebrations on Friday 9th February, which included a variety of activities. It was celebrated with our EAL students and anyone else who wanted to join in, invited by a notice shared during tutor time. The break time activities involved making decorations with lots of colours and decorating 3E01 (Miss Downing’s classroom) as well as eating snacks, of course!
At lunch time we had some more food and watched a film that was suggested by the students. It was great to see the students and staff coming together in this celebration and the atmosphere was so positive and inclusive in Miss Downing’s classroom at break time and lunch time. We look forward to collaboratively planning the celebrations for next Chinese New Year!
