Date for the diaries – FHS Community Iftar

We are pleased to be launching our first ever FHS Community Iftar at school on Tuesday 28th March from 6.30-8.30pm. This event was postponed in the past due to covid restrictions.

Muslims fast every year from sunrise to sunset in the month of Ramadan (Islamic Calendar month) and next year it will be starting around Wednesday 22nd March and ending on Friday 21st April (depending on the sighting of the moon). ‘Iftar’ means the breaking of fast.

Please pop this date into your diaries as I would like to welcome you and your families to this auspicious occasion where we hope to have presentations from our wonderful students as well as community faith leaders about the significance of fasting in their faiths.

We will be ending the evening by breaking fast and sharing a cooked meal together as an FHS family.

FHS students and their families will be invited to this event too.
