Could your child(ren) qualify for school travel support?
We urge parents and carers to consider looking at the website for School Travel Support in Bristol: https://www.bristol.gov.uk/residents/schools-learning-and-early-years/travel-and-free-school-meals/school-travel
Children who go to their nearest Bristol school (with available places) can receive travel support if:
- they’re between 8 and 16 years old and the school is more than 3 miles walking distance away
- you’re on a low income (if your child qualifies for free school meals or you’re on the maximum level of Working Tax Credit)
Children in low income families can get travel support if they’re:
- aged between 11 and 16, go to any one of the three nearest suitable Bristol schools (with available places), and the school is between 2 and 6 miles walking distance away
To check you the distance between your home address and the school address, please enter your home Post Code into the Google Maps link provided below
We would suggest if your Post Code starts with BS1, BS4, BS9, BS10, BS11, BS13, BS14, BS15, BS30, BS34 you may consider checking if your child (ren) may be eligible for school travel support.
