Celebrating Isla’s Competition Success
We wanted to share an update on Year 8 student Isla who you may remember hearing about last year, who has been incredibly busy taking part in dance competitions this term – with some fantastic achievements along the way.
Back in October, Isla competed at UNIQUE, a three-day event. On the Friday, she took part in the Grand Prix, performing a black-and-white themed routine.

Saturday saw Isla compete in her slow event, where she performed in her white costume and successfully reached the final.
A special surprise that weekend was Isla being sponsored by her makeup artist, Mia, who creates a unique makeup design for Isla at each competition.
Later in the term, Isla travelled to Middlesbrough to compete at FEARLESS, where she once again reached the final in her slow event and finished an impressive 3rd place.
In December, Isla took part in DKKQ, one of the biggest and most challenging competitions of the year, held in the Blackpool Tower Ballroom. With over 20 years of history, this competition is renowned for its high standard. Isla achieved multiple recalls and placed 3rd in her slow event — an outstanding accomplishment at such a prestigious competition.

A huge well done to our talented student Isla, and thank you to her Mum for sharing this wonderful update!
