BBC Studios Trip

The English department were excited to be offered the opportunity to attend a workshop day at the new BBC studios in central Bristol.

18 Year 11 students, who have an interest in a career in media, attended the event where they were able to listen to seminars and take part in interactive activities. The TV shows they had the chance to get behind the scenes in included: Prehistoric Planet, Fantastic Beasts: A History, Hidden Kingdoms, Teen First Dates and more.

Attendee Farhan said: “My favourite part of the day was the cinema room with animated dinosaurs and David Attenborough doing the voiceovers; it was also interesting to see a professional workplace in real life”.
