Fermentation results in delicious bread & pretzels
Following a lesson on fermentation, and with an inability to demonstrate the ideal conditions for fermentation to occur, Science Teacher Mr Hickey asked his Year 8 class to put some yeast in iced water, warm water and boiling water….just to see which would start to produce carbon dioxide.
Students were then encouraged to use their successful test to make something delicious so they could really reap the rewards of their efforts.
The results were fantastic – Corey made these pretzels and Austen this bread; both look very appetising indeed.
Well done to Corey and Austen for their efforts.
