Prince’s Trust delivers workshop on Enterprise
On 20th June, staff from The Prince’s Trust visited to deliver a one day workshop on Enterprise. Students worked in groups to come up with ideas for a new business. They then presented their business idea to the group in a formal presentation. Finally, students played a game on the computers which models starting your own business. Congratulations to Toby and Noah who came first, The ‘Kebab Kings’ who came second, and Roshan who came third. When asked what they had learned from the day, Roshan said “You have to keep customers happy, and also pay your staff well.”
Stanley said “That was brilliant. Can you sign me up now for next year?”
Mr Sinclair comments: “The students did themselves proud. They engaged really well with enterprise and the idea of running their own business. Working in a team, problem-solving, and giving formal presentations are all important life-skills and it was a pleasure to see the students represent the school so well. We have already rebooked the Prince’s Trust for another visit next year.
Well done to all involved.
