Bristol Old Vic Young Company: Digital Theatre opportunity
Bristol Old Vic Young Company and Sharp Teeth Theatre (Sherlock In Homes) are working together to create an online young company. Designed to be accessible for young people 13-18yrs old who may be shielding, or for whom it would be great to be able to create theatre from home. The course will be run by director Stephanie Kempson who has ME/CFS and Long Covid. It will be made accessible for those who have energy impairments or are neurodiverse.
The new company will be looking at performing for digital theatre and different ways stories can be told. Participants should be interested in theatre and performing, but might also be interested in costume, design, writing, gaming, filmmaking, making music or sound design.
The sessions are open to anyone aged 13-18, who are interested in digital theatre and/or would like to take part in an online drama session. Participants don’t have to suffer from ME, chronic fatigue, long covid or be neurodiverse, but the sessions will work round the ones that do. This means that the sessions might be at a slower pace than other online/in person drama sessions.
- Sessions will be held on Saturdays 2-4pm from Saturday 22nd January 2022.
- Fees are £98 for 10 weeks of sessions.
