Movember sees lots of moustaches, 68,200 steps walked & £367 raised
For a number of years, FHS staff have been raising funds for the Movember charity which promotes men’s health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer awareness.
This year was no different, as the razors were locked away and people reached deep into their pockets.
Most of the fundraising has been done through the growing of moustaches on the top lips of those taking part, which has sparked some interesting conversations with students and staff helping to raise awareness of the cause.
This year however, also saw staff coming together in the FHS stair climbing challenge every Wednesday throughout this important month, with an incredible 68,200 steps taken. A great effort!
Now the moustaches have gone and the money has been totted up, we are delighted to share that £367 has been raised.
Well done to the team, and especially Mr Humphrey for his efforts.
