Tribute to Mr Le Goascoz

The Fairfield community is all deeply saddened to hear about the loss of our languages teacher, Mr Vincent Le Goascoz. Please see below tributes, memories, thoughts and wishes from the school community emailed to us, posted on our Atrium tree and positioned on our rainbow bench. All are welcome to make their own contribution; please email [email protected], indicating whether you are happy for your name to be included. Thank you.

We wanted to send our love and thoughts to all who knew Mr Le Goascoz at this sad time, we are thinking of his colleagues and students past and present, as well as his partner Emily and all his family and friends. We were not lucky enough to have met Mr Le Goascoz as he was new to the school but we have been told by our children what a great teacher he was, how positive and kind and always caring he was. It is clear from reading all the tributes that he has left a big impression on all who were taught by him. Thank you Vincent for all you did for your students, your positivity and kindness will remain a legacy that stays with them all.

Sending love to all Vincent’s family and friends, Alice and Jon xx

Dear Fairfield Staff and Students,

Whilst watching the events of Mr Goascoz unfold and clinging on for hope I seen great support towards the students and sensitivity. Mr Goascoz clearly carried a beautiful light and he’s going to leave that continuing to burn in his partner, family, friends, colleagues , students and many who he came across. How blessed are those who encountered his presence. May he rest in eternal peace. Sending lots of love to his partner and family. Also I’m very warmed to how staff and Fairfield students have adapted and come together.

Blessings,

Chanel x

My son is missing you telling him to tuck his shirt in every morning. He says you were always so positive and jokey and he was happy to have you as his tutor until Year 11 …Thank you for all you did for him. Love to everyone affected by this devastating loss to the school community.

Though my son Charlie (11R) did not know Mr Le Goascoz, our whole family have been deeply affected by his passing. Our thoughts and hearts go out to the whole community, especially those who knew him well and also his girlfriend Emily, family and friends as they come to terms, somehow, with this tragedy.
